Sunday, June 20th
The water temp today is 80 degrees. Combined with today's high of 90 degrees, it's a great day to be at the pool!
Great news… Landisville Pool has a logo! Thank you to the students at Brownstown CTC for their creative ideas and a special thank you to our logo designer, Jamie Uphole.
The CDC website provides advice for patrons visiting beaches and pools. The recommendation is to:
Stay home if you are sick.
Stay at least 6 feet away, both in and out of the water, from people you don’t live with.
Wear a mask when you are not in the water.
Wash your hands often and don’t share items with people you don’t live with.
CDC does recommend social distancing. Please do your part to keep yourself and others safe by remaining at least 6 feet away from people you do not live with, both in and out of the water. Please use a mask when entering, exiting, and using the facilities. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family members by following these recommendations.
The Landisville Pool Board is requiring members to sign a COVID 19 Wavier. The waiver is located in the COVID-19 tab on the webpage. Please sign and return via email to the firstname.lastname@example.org, or return it to the front desk upon visiting, or waivers can be dropped off on picture day.
New Member Picture Day
Rather than using membership cards, the Landisville pool relies on a computerized system. All members enter the pool and provide their names. Our staff confirms you are a member by checking the system and your picture. A picture can be taken when you enter the pool for the first time. However, we are offering 2 special picture days for new members. Participating in one of these two dates will speed the process of entering the pool for the 1st time. Picture day is optional, not necessary.
May 8 from 12-3 pm at the pool 12-3 pm
May 22 from 12-3 pm at the pool 12-3pm
* If you are a member with a picture from last season, your membership is good! You are all set to enter the pool. A retake is optional this year, not required.
The Landisville pool will be open every day from 12pm -8pm. Please be aware, the Landisville Dolphins swim team will be having a swim season and the pool may close early/ open late for swim meets. This only occurs a handful of times. Please check the calendar for specific dates.
We are very excited to announce that our snack bar will return this season! However, we will only be selling cold and prepacked foods. We will have ice, water, cold bottled and canned drinks.
Due to the pandemic and concern over cleanliness, members brought chairs to the pool last season. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with members loving the open grounds and views of the pool. This year, the Landisville Pool will have a limited number of chairs available for members to use. We encourage you to bring your chairs as well.
In July, the Landisville pool will be installing a new shed, courtesy of Sue Devenburgh in honor of her mom, Betty Bollinger. Betty was a beloved pool member who very much enjoyed the pool. Sue appreciated the look and feel of the grounds but wanted a place to store her chair on the grounds. She graciously donated funds to the purchase of our new chair shed. Thank you so much Sue!
The Landisville Pool is pleased to follow the newly updated CDC guidelines regarding pool capacity. Guests are welcome!! The new guest policy at the Landisville pool allows up to four guests per family/single membership per day.
We are pleased to announce that Burger Night is back! Our calendar will post the dates of these yummy evenings. Sundae Monday is returning! Be on the lookout for the sweet cold treat Mondays. We are pleased to announce that we can once again host our favorite social events such as raft nights, campfire night, 4th of July, and Christmas in July.
It is imperative that members, guests, and staff remain safe, healthy, and have fun. Every member experiences COVID 19 in their own unique way and each person has an opinion about masks. The Board is asking you to be respectful towards others. Please be mindful of others and please respect others by wearing a mask in the breezeway and the bathrooms. We want everyone to enjoy the pool and to feel safe doing so.
Thank you! Have fun, enjoy the summer, and we will see you at the pool!
